Considered a "first-call" session
player by many for his impeccable
timing and tastefully understated
playing, Jim Musto is the other half
of Abilene's dynamic rhythm
section. Jim is as comfortable
playing hot swing as he is with a
hot cajun barn dance.

A student of the legendary Angelo
Stella, Jim's style is a study in
conservation of motion. Even one of
his blistering solos gives the
impression he's not showing us
everything he's got.

Jim lays claim to the fourth-longest
tenure with the band, having joined
up in March of 1978. Since then
he's built a legion of fans with
Abilene who appreciate first-rate
musicianship.
